Are Robots That Good For Business?

Robots are gradually making their way into areas such as retail, fast food, and delivery. However, so far their implementation has yielded mixed results, and the costs so far seem too high. At best, robots take the load off their human counterparts. Businesses are trying to use vending machines for serving food in restaurants, home delivery, or performing chores in stores. But some of these consumer-facing robots are not on probation. Yet some remote spheres are doing great with and without robots. That is gambling. You can try it out by trying the slots online NZ. You will definitely win the jackpot!

What Are The Benefits?

Robots can work without restrictions, sick days, toilet breaks, and no grumbling. When it comes to mass production at factories, people can not make the same product with the same speed, quality, and quantity. Robots do need salary, food, and sleep. Though, they might cost a lot. But what happens when you want to see a waiter and you see a robot? Your expectations are different. The same pluses can not work the same way in restaurants and cafes. Basically, we make things better, working better, at least for now.

Using robots instead of pilots and delivering goods sounds interesting. Moreover, many large companies do so. When they are constructing another warehouse, they plan for robots to work there and people control. So you do not need 500 workers, you need 10. The right ramps for trucks or aircraft and all work is done.

If we take aviation, it is just a matter of time when there won’t be any pilots on board. It is already proven that UAV does the same work and even better. Modern aircraft have systems that allow them to take off and land without any human intervention. Besides, most airspace is divided into flight levels so the aircraft won’t cross each other.

Why Is There A Huge Disappointment Then?

FedEx is one of the companies that is trying to use robots as much as possible. So is Amazon. In the case of their warehouses, all is going as planned. Not many people are working and robots do their job. But the delivery and their program’s last mile the robot will deliver doesn’t work as they want them to. They are changing their strategy as the results don’t suit them. And yes, both of these companies faced the same problems.

The main idea of bringing robots as announced with new working positions. So when you are using robots, you are giving other workers more free time and they can focus on their tasks. The multiple tasks won’t be solved with robots at all until the robots won’t be programmed that way. Besides, you do not need many operators to check a hundred robots but you definitely need more time to check hundred people. Also to reduce the taxes, as for robots you do not need to pay that much. Imagine for a second, how much these companies lost their income instead of hiring real people to make them change their opinion.

So it happened, that having a static robot that makes a simple thing at the factory is way more profitable than a robot that is trying to solve the service work or delivery.

It was really fun to see the Japanese cafes or restaurants where there were no waiters and robots made all the deliveries. But not all restaurants can have the same strict rules. The Japanese mentality is only Japanese. Many restaurants tried, but few remained with robots. Service is a complicated sphere. We heartbeat scientists already created robot nannies etc. Who knows how it will influence our life and our future?
